DIGABLE PLANETS LIVE WITH DAVID LETTERMAN BAND 1993 TV GEM IN THE ROUGH

DIGABLE PLANETS PERFORM LIVE WITH THE LETTERMAN BAND
ON USA VARIETY COMEDY TALK SHOW DAVIDLETTERMAN 1993
TO PROMOTE THEIR DEBUT ALBUM :
"reachin' (a new refutation of time and space"

Before Digable Planets, The 'amazing kreskin'
set the stage for a light hearted segue.

That sometimes confused canadian keyboard captain of the musician sect
of the David Letterman corp, Paul Schaffer proclaims ""the new young rap group that the kids seem to be so crazy about" just before Dave introduces Digable planets

(is that a dildo pattern on his shirt?)

Dave then is ready for the intro:

I wish I had the longbox CD like Dave has in his collection

Up first with the smooth flow on the mic is MC
Craig "Doodlebug" Irving (from Philadelphia)

As you can see in the background, the David Letterman band of 1993, and I have to
say doing a very commendable job keeping the
funk low and smooth.

2nd on the MIC is Ishmael "Butterfly" Butler (from Seattle)

Last to flow out on the mellow mold is
Mary Ann "Ladybug Mecca" Vieira (fromWashington, D.C.)

Dave seemed genuine with his extro and congratulatory
salute (unless he was simply on happy juice)!

MC Doodle Bug posts a peace signal

Below is the entire clip captured from TV in 1993 with VHS
and procured to digital by OATSTAO

(I will always think the original song that inspired the Digable Planets version by Donald Byrd  is much tops..too hard to beat they can only
take from it) :
